In an announcement today, Walmart Hair salon chain, which operates in the UK and Ireland, said it was going into “decrease and eventually shutdown” due to declining sales.
“The company has been in a downward spiral for some time and its been difficult for us to compete with other large chains,” the announcement said.
The company’s parent company Walmart said that it had not yet decided on a final decision for its UK business, which is based in the heart of the city of London.
The announcement comes amid a slowdown for the chain, where its sales have fallen by about 10% since last year.
Earlier this year, the company announced it was selling a controlling stake in its UK branch to an unnamed buyer, who was later announced as Walgreens.
“We will continue to work closely with our customers to help them achieve their long-term business objectives,” the company said.
In an effort to keep its stores open, Walgros will also continue to offer a wide range of products, from handcrafted goods to beauty products, as well as offering a range of accessories, including hair and body care. “
In 2019, we will continue our efforts to create new opportunities and to expand our existing stores in Europe.”
In an effort to keep its stores open, Walgros will also continue to offer a wide range of products, from handcrafted goods to beauty products, as well as offering a range of accessories, including hair and body care.
The retailer has already launched several new hair products in the past year, including the brand-new The Beard Wash, a hair-washing spray that features an oil-based gel.
The move to shut down the chain comes on the heels of an announcement from Walgrees parent company Wal-Mart Stores Inc. that it was shutting down two of its stores in Britain.
The move came after it was revealed that the company had not kept up with rising costs for the UK market, as it had previously forecast.
The firm’s share price has dropped more than 35% since the announcement, while the share price of the parent company has plummeted by about 8%.
Walgreen has been criticized by some retailers and the government for its price of products.
Walgos latest announcement comes as the UK is also experiencing its worst Christmas shopping season in more than a decade.
The UK economy was battered by a series of droughts, a series that has forced businesses to lay off staff, shut down factories and shut down retail outlets.
